Research shows that singing, listening to, or playing music can lower the heart rate and reduce blood pressure, leading to a reduction in the stress hormone, cortisol. It can also provide a creative outlet in contrast to daily academic study, giving your child the opportunity to exercise a different part of their brain.
Congratulations to the Tiger Pride Band at the Boiling Springs Festival of Bands! Their show, Night at the Museum, earned 1st Place in Class I and 4th place overall for the Silver Division. The band also swept their class earning 1st place Music, Colorguard, and Percussion for the second year in a row. Keep up the great work! Thanks to everyone for their help! We could not do it without you.
